Mr. Borie's practice areas include Elder Law, Estate & Trust Administration, Estate Planning, Municipal Law & Finance, Real Property Law, General Litigation, and Landlord/Tenant.
Mr. Borie was born in West Milford, New Jersey in 1984. In 2010, he was admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. His undergraduate education was at Siena College where he received his B.A. in English, magna cum laude, in 2006. Mr. Borie’s legal education was at Albany Law School of Union University where he received his J.D., cum laude, in 2009.
While at Albany Law School, Mr. Borie was the Editor-in-Chief of the Albany Law Review and a member of the Justinian Society. His article, “The Convenience of the Employer Test: Why We Should Reconsider the Critique of New York’s Tax Apportionment Scheme,” was published in the Albany Law Review in 2009. At graduation, Mr. Borie received the Jacob L. Rubenstein Prize for having the highest standing in procedure subjects, and the Benjamin Cardozo Prize for his significant contribution to the Albany Law Review during the 2008-2009 academic year.
Mr. Borie joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2011, after working at another local firm since 2009. He is a member of the New York, New Jersey, and Warren County Bar Associations.
