Benjamin R. Pratt, Jr.,
was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1947. He
was admitted to the New York State Bar and the
U.S. District Court, Northern District of New
York in 1974 and the U.S. District Court, Southern
District of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals,
Second Circuit in 1984. His preparatory education
was at Bowdoin College where he received his A.B.
cum laude in 1969. Mr. Pratt’s legal education
was at Cornell University where he received his
J.D. in 1973.
Mr. Pratt was Director,
Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York, Inc.
(1981-1985) and was counsel to the Glens Falls
Housing Authority from 1979-2004.
Mr. Pratt is a
member of the Warren County Bar Association (President
2001-2002), New York State and American Bar Associations.
He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Crandall
Public Library and is a past President of the
Glens Falls Country Club.
Mr. Pratt’s practice
is concentrated in Civil Litigation, including
the resolution of commercial disputes, the prosecution
and defense of personal injury actions and the
handling of environmental and land use litigation.
