Innovation Award

The Adirondack Women’s Bar Association was recently selected as the recipient of the 2011 New York State Bar Leaders Innovation Award for the Legal Clinic to Aid Victims of Domestic Violence, founded and directed by Jessica Hugabone Vinson.
The Adirondack Women's Bar Association was nominated for the award by Lillian Moy, the Director of the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York, for the Clinic’s provision of legal aid to approximately 60 women over the course of the last year through the assistance of 17 volunteer attorneys. Letters of recommendations were also submitted by Warren County District Attorney Kathleen Hogan and Catholic Charities of Saratoga, Warren and Washington Counties, The Award Nomination Review Subcommittee of the New York State Conference of Bar Leaders Executive Council selected the Adirondack Women's Bar Association out of a field of many qualified candidates. The award was presented to Jessica Hugabone Vinson, as representative for the Adirondack Women's Bar Association, at the Bar Leaders Breakfast on Friday, January 27, 2012 in New York City.
