Bartlett, Pontiff, Stewart & Rhodes, P.C. is pleased to announce that Alexandra D. Finochhio has joined the firm as an Associate Attorney. Alexandra received her Juris Doctor degree from American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C., graduating cum laude in 2022. While at American University Washington College of Law, Alexandra worked as a student attorney with the Disability Rights Law Clinic, served as a staff editor on the American University Law Review, and volunteered with the War Crimes Research Office. Alexandra has been a member of the District of Columbia Bar since 2022 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2024. She is also a member of the Warren County Bar and New York State Bar Associations.
Prior to receiving her Juris Doctor, Alexandra obtained her Master of Laws in International Law with International Relations in Europe from the University of Kent, Kent Law School. Her dissertation analyzed and discussed the concurrent applicability of international humanitarian and human rights law with regard to an occupying nation-state’s obligation to respect and facilitate the right to education.
Alexandra graduated from the University of Delaware in Newark, DE, with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations—specializing in diplomacy in the Middle East—and History. She also minored in Islamic Relations with Arabic Language.
From her work with the South African Human Rights Commission in Cape Town, South Africa, to the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants in Albany, N.Y., and Biotechnology Innovation Organization in Washington, D.C., Alexandra has a wide array of experience across countries, cultures, and practices of law. Her current areas of practice with the Firm include Civil Litigation, Education Law, and Real Estate and Land Use Development.
